The Grand Palais is a historical monument built in 1897 for the Universal Exhibition of Paris, the symbol of architectural innovation located in the heart of Paris 8th arrondissement near the Champs-Elysees and facing the Petit Palais. The Grand Palais museum was created by André Malraux, the National Galleries do not present any permanent exhibition. Their mission is to host the major temporary exhibitions organized by the Reunion des Musées Nationaux, the French Association of Artistic Action and the Delegation for the Visual Arts.
